Yearly Lamb BBQ party Årøysund, Norway 2008

Summer at last and no season will be complete without the frying of the sacred lamb.

A standard medium sized lamb roasted for 3-4 hours, depending on heat. We didn’t put the whole thing in an overnight marinade this time and instead we constantly painted it with a fresh coat of oil, garlic and herbs to keep it juicy. Keep some water handy to put out flash fires.

Dritt sommer?

Har faatt med meg at sommeren ble helt raeva. Passer meg egentlig midt i blinken for jeg kom meg jo ikke til Norge denne sommeren. Tenkte jeg alikevell skulle komme med et tips til dere som sitter aa banner og sverter under graa himmel.

Dra ut i skogen! Med alt regnet er det sikkert masse sopp.

1. Smelt smør i en liten stekepanne og stek noen oppskårne baconstrimler til de begynner å bli sprø. Tilsett finhakket hvitløk og salvie og la det trekke i ytterligere et par minutter.
2. Ha i kantareller som er skåret i grove biter. Sauter i 10 minutter under stadig omrøring. Tilsett noen spiseskjeer med cottage cheese og noen med crème fraiche. La trekke på svak varme under omrøring mens du smaker til med krydder. http://www.wormnes.no/soppsiden/

Roedvin og litt sopp-snacks maa jo hvaere tingen for dere naa. Eventuelt hive litt ekstra “urter” oppe i gryta for aa gjoere det beste ut av en heller bedriten sommer.
